Visiting El Morro Castle in San Juan

Lisy Velazquez was born in Zaragoza, Spain, moving to Dorado, Puerto Rico at a later age. She has been painting since early childhood and acquired this talent without any formal training.  Her artwork is inspired by a combination of memories of growing up on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, places traveled, experiences, and typical moments lived in the island, which have been interpreted onto canvas.  She currently lives in Texas with her husband.
